Peptide BPC-157
The body-protective compound 157 (BPC-157) that we offer for sale is a fragment of a 15-amino-acid, whole-body protective compound belonging to the pentadecapeptide family. Derived from gastric juice, BPC-157 is much more stable and, most importantly, resistant to the destructive enzymes present in gastric juice.
Research on BPC-157 has revealed its remarkable cytoprotective properties, including its ability to protect cells against damage to the gastric mucosa. Researchers believe this peptide plays an important role in the gut-brain axis and facilitates communication between our central nervous and endocrine systems.
Therefore, when it was discovered, PCB was considered a promising new compound for the treatment of wounds and lesions of organs, the digestive tract and the skin.
Unfortunately, this potential remains untapped as few studies have involved human subjects, so the effect of BPC-157 on humans has not yet been fully studied.
On the contrary, numerous animal studies demonstrate a positive, regenerative, and overall healing effect on problems affecting soft tissues, muscles, ligaments, skin, internal organs, and even some more serious conditions such as Crohn’s disease and leaky gut syndrome. Regarding the skin, BPC-157 has been shown to accelerate collagen production, chemical healing, and improve blood circulation.

Wound healing
Of course, human studies are still insufficient, but we do have several studies on animal subjects . One of these aimed to test the effect of BPC-157 on fibroblast proliferation. These fibroblasts were isolated from the Achilles tendon and treated with BPC at different concentrations for 24 hours.
Researchers have observed an increase in the expression of growth hormone receptors in these tendon fibroblasts. These fibroblasts are essential for the storage of extracellular matrix proteins (collagen, fibrin, elastin, etc.), and their in vitro treatment with BPC-157 has shown accelerated cell proliferation and migration.
To confirm their results, the researchers repeated the experiment, changing the concentrations over a 24-hour period. The results showed that this change in concentration also influenced cell proliferation and migration.
It was also found that BPC-157 had a proliferative effect on GH and, by the third day, increased it sevenfold!
Subsequent studies were also conducted to test the efficacy of this peptide in treating chemical burns and skin lesions, primarily in rats. These rats were subjected to alkaline burns, and the results showed that, when treated with BPC, these wounds healed more rapidly. The precise mechanism associated with this faster healing and recovery was linked to accelerated tissue formation, collagen deposition, skin remodeling, and overall improved recovery.
Vascular growth
Improved vascularization plays a crucial role in wound healing and tissue regeneration, as it allows these processes to occur rapidly. This is why we pay particular attention to blood vessel growth during wound healing, tumor growth, and tissue regeneration, which occurs after any injury.
Numerous studies reviewed converge on the following: BPC possesses strong angiogenic properties and stimulates blood vessel growth as well as endothelial cell proliferation. These studies also indicate that it acts by stimulating the VEGFR2 surface receptor (a receptor essential for endothelial cell development).
A particularly interesting study was conducted in rats to determine whether BPC-157 could alleviate intestinal damage caused by venous occlusions. After administration, the peptide rapidly crossed the obstruction and treated the damage by promoting and improving blood flow.
Regarding intestinal problems, further studies have shown enormous potential in the treatment of colitis or intestinal ischemia, where blood flow was rapidly restored and the area reactivated through the formation of collateral blood vessels.
Another study on rats showed that by using PCBs, researchers were able to quickly rid the test rats of various venous lesions, thromboses, and prolonged bleeding .
Tendon healing
The problem with tendons is generally twofold:
- They occur often and
- The treatment and healing process are difficult and take far too long.
That is why researchers are looking for new, more effective treatment methods… and BPC-157 is considered one of these potential avenues.
As we have already mentioned, in animal studies, BPC has been shown to increase the proliferation of new blood vessels, improve circulation and promote overall regeneration not only of tendons, but also of various other tissues throughout the body.
Recent studies in rats have concluded that, in muscle, bone, and soft tissue injuries, this peptide was more effective than the hormones bFGF, EFG, and VGF. Furthermore, it proved to be a potent stimulator of cell migration, essential for cell survival and the growth of tendon cells.
Antioxidant effects
The antioxidant effects of peptides are rarely discussed , but animal studies have demonstrated that BPC-157 is a potent antioxidant, neutralizing oxidative stress (induced by nitric oxide and malondialdehyde). These studies have also shown that it reduces the production of reactive oxygen species in the gastrointestinal tract, thus preventing and treating gastrointestinal inflammation.
Side effects of medications
Some stronger medications, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), cannot be taken for too long because they can cause serious side effects such as:
- heart problems
- Digestive tract problems
- Liver problems
- Headaches, dizziness, etc.
Various studies on rats have shown that taking BPC-157 at the same time as these NSAIDs could eliminate certain side effects concerning the digestive system and the development of ulcers, but also brain and heart problems.
